rent bicycles from nearby Rosemary Beach and explore scenic Highway
30-A from an off road paved bike path. The paved path is wide and
safe enough for younger riders and runs for over 18 miles
from Rosemary Beach to Seagrove, Seaside, Grayton Beach and beyond.
Golf is available at
several local courses including the fabulous new Tom Fazio designed
Camp Creek championship course which is only 5 minutes drive away.
Other enjoyable challenges include the Robert Trent Jones and Rees Jones layouts at Sandestin (30 minutes), Blue water Bay (40 minutes)
and Hombre courses (30 minutes). The private courses in the area include
the much acclaimed Greg Norman designed Sharks Tooth at Heron Cove
which was voted one of the best new courses in America by Golf Digest
(5 minutes) and the semi-private Santa Rosa Beach and Golf Club (20
minutes).
Fishing in the area is regarded as some of the best in the Southern
USA - Pompano, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Bonito and more
can all be caught right in the surf. Deep sea fishing, as well as Scuba and snorkelling, can be arranged locally, at Grayton Beach,
or in Destin and Panama City.
